Lost love
outfit: Crop top - Topshop / Trousers - Monki / Nike SB - Nike
Hello everyone,
Yesss I am back indeed and this time it didn't take me a week to post again! Hahaa
I'm trying to post more frequently, let's hope I can keep it that way.
So today I'm back with another very easy and comfortable outfit. I've kept it very minimal and sporty.
For some reason I had completely forgotten about this crop top and I'm so glad I found it again as it's so nice! I love the fact that it is knitted, it looks much more classic you could say expensive.
It almost feels like this was the outfit of rediscovering stuff that I had forgotten about, the trousers are also another item that I haven't worn in ages! I had grown apart from them for a while because I felt like they didn't look right on me, but give it a few months and roll the bottom up and voilà it's like falling in love with them all over again. I think a pair of black trousers are an essential in everyone's wardrobe. Seeing as I have a million pair already this particular one stands out a bit with its fold-over waist.
Now onto Shoes, these shoes I'm so sooooo happy to finally own as I've been trying to get them for years now! They're part of the Nike SB range and are mainly for Men as far as I'm aware so it's a bit difficult to find Men shoes in a size 3! Luckily one of my friends is obsessed with Nike shoes and while she came to stay with me for a while we obviously went shopping in Oxford St. and went to the Nike store. As girls if you are up to a size 5/6 you can get your trainers from the Kids section and it will be less expensive for you, and that's where we were, for what felt like forever. After about 7 pairs of shoes that my friend had tried on and loads of "Are you sure they look good on me?" she spotted my shoes, still can't believe she spotted them before me! You can guess what happened after that! Hahaa I'm now a proud owner of them.
Anyways enough of me talking, hope you guys liked this outfit!
Shay

Got that 40s curl
outfit: Jumper - Zara / Trousers - Forever 21 / Loafers - H&M
Hello everyone,
Back today with another outfit, I hope you all enjoyed my last post, which was my 'get to know me' tag!
Anyways back to the outfit, I kept it very minimal and easy. This is my go to outfit when I'm in a hurry and I still want to look put together. The Jumper I honestly wear to death, it's just one of those pieces that will always look effortlessly nice. And the trousers I wear to work a lot as well as they can be dressed up or down.
Also you might have noticed from the pictures that I've finally had a haircut and I have gone slightly lighter in colour, the colour has a slight grey tint. I really wanted to go that gunmetal grey, but after discussing it with my hairdresser I realised my hair was too dark to get there right away.. Hahaa Either way I really really like the outcome. I must say I did go through a slight phase of not liking it right after I got it done, but I blame it on the difference that it made. If you were interested on where I got it done and with who don't hestitate to ask I'm happy to let you guys know as he is amazing!
What do you guys think of the hair, let me know,
Shay

Make it two
outfit: Turtleneck - Zara / Mom jeans - Topshop / Coat - Zara / Leopard boots - Zara / Nude ankle boots - Topshop
Hello everyone,
I'm back again with another outfit for you guys.
For this outfit I was soo indecisive, which pair of ankle boots I should wear.
Initially the idea was to wear my Leopard boots from Zara, which I don't get to wear often enough considering how much I love them. While I was getting ready I then saw my nude ankle boots and I was just like - 'damn it, what do I do now?'
I'm sure you guys have had this situation before too, you know the dilemma of not knowing, which pair of shoes look better with the outfit..
So I decided to shoot both of them and make it into a 'Day - Night' transition, which works perfectly I think.
The Leopard boots are very comfortable and easy to wear, at the same time they make your outfit as they are a statement piece. It makes them perfect for a busy day where you want to look good, but still be able to feel your feet by the end of the day.
The nude ankle boots are extremely comfortable too, but because of the slightly higher heel I prefer to wear them on days where I don't have to run around too much or just for a nice dinner as it still works with the rest of the outfit.
This outfit just showed me once again how easy it is to change up the whole look by just changing your shoes. It really does make a difference!
I hope Monday treated you guys nicely,
Shay

Perfect fit
outfit: T-Shirt - Topshop / Trousers - Topshop / Shoes - River Island / Chocker - River Island / Clutch - Zara
Hello everyone,
looking at this outfit I kinda miss the warmer days even though I love Autumn and Winter.
I wore this when we went to Brick Lane market it was such a nice day and the market was soo good! They had everything from perfect oversized shirts to old school 40s style gloves so there was something for everyone.
These trousers are like absolute perfection. From the fit to the colour when I saw them I fell in love. I find it really hard to find really well fitting trousers or jeans just because I'm quite short so I usually have that extra bunch of fabric on the bottom of my leg, but these ones fit soo nicely and they almost go with everything in my wardrobe.
I loved the way the colour worked with grey together and the T-shirt made it less formal.
Ohh yeah and don't mind the little mark on the trousers I had a little incident on that day, but the dry cleaners did a great job in getting rid of it.
Anyways here's to another outfit, I'll speak to you guys soon,
Shay

Neutral palette
outfit: Duster coat - Monki / Top - Topshop / Jeans - Topshop / Ankle boots - Topshop / Bag - Topshop / Necklaces - Topshop
Hello divas,
After two months of a break I'm finally back and loaded with quite a few outfits to show!
Now if you follow me on Instagram (@aspoonfulloffashion) you might have seen a few new things here and there one of which are these nude heels. I cannot tell you guys how much I'm actually in love with them and they go with literally everything.
I wore this outfit a couple of weeks ago when me and my friends went out for lunch. The heels are very comfortable, but just like majority of heels they will hurt eventually..
Also I've finally signed up for some life drawing lessons and I'm really looking forward to it, should be very interesting.
Apart from that I managed to find some really exciting projects last night, which I will tell you guys more about when it's actually happening.
Hope you guys liked this outfit,
Shay
