Oversized classic

Outfit: Floppy hat - H&M / Oversized shirt - Brick Lane market / Jeans - Topshop - Loafers - H&M

Hello everyone,

back with a different combo today, the weather is soo nice at the moment so I've been getting away not wearing a jacket during the day. Loving it!

My minimalist vibes are still around so there is no surprise that this outfit is just as easy as all my previous ones. I decided to pair my trusty oversized shirt with plain black jeans and loafers, to give it a little twist and a bit of class I topped it all off with my Floppy hat.
The shirt is absolutely massive on me soo I kept the bottom few buttons open to give it more movement, otherwise I would just look shapeless.
What makes this outfit is the floppy hat as it gives it a really timeless and chic vibe.
Honestly I think hats like this are definitely a very good investment as they will never go out of style and they are a perfect last touch.

I hope you guys like this outfit and I will be back soon with more,

Shay

Dusty lilac

Outfit: Jumper - &otherstories / Jeans - Topshop (Hayden) / Loafers - H&M / Rings - Camden

Hello everyone,

here's a new outfit for you guys, as always nice and effortless.
The weather is in its up and down mood at the moment so I like to be prepared, hence the chunky knit. This is actually the first time I finally got to wear this Jumper. I bought it around Christmas time and it was my first &otherstories item so I was very excited when I got it. The quality is amazing and the knit and cut is flawless in my eyes. Also what made me get this was the colour it's such a nice dusty lilac. It hasn't got that pastel feel to it.
Still don't understand why it took me so long to wear it, I think I was trying to save it for a special outfit so I can introduce it nicely.. Hahaa

Anyway, I decided to pair it with my ripped Haydens from Topshop. These jeans are so comfortable, but have such a nice effect on any outfit. It's just a bit different from the usual boyfriend jeans.
Also on my nails I'm wearing Essies cocktail bling. It's a really nice grey with a blue undertone and on my lips I'm wearing one of Revlons colourburst sticks in the colour '215 shameless'. It's a very intense purple, the pictures don't really give it justice!

Hope you all had a lovely Easter and I will speak to you soon,

Shay

Lost love

outfit: Crop top - Topshop / Trousers - Monki / Nike SB - Nike

Hello everyone,

Yesss I am back indeed and this time it didn't take me a week to post again! Hahaa
I'm trying to post more frequently, let's hope I can keep it that way.

So today I'm back with another very easy and comfortable outfit. I've kept it very minimal and sporty.
For some reason I had completely forgotten about this crop top and I'm so glad I found it again as it's so nice! I love the fact that it is knitted, it looks much more classic you could say expensive.
It almost feels like this was the outfit of rediscovering stuff that I had forgotten about, the trousers are also another item that I haven't worn in ages! I had grown apart from them for a while because I felt like they didn't look right on me, but give it a few months and roll the bottom up and voilĂ  it's like falling in love with them all over again. I think a pair of black trousers are an essential in everyone's wardrobe. Seeing as I have a million pair already this particular one stands out a bit with its fold-over waist.
Now onto Shoes, these shoes I'm so sooooo happy to finally own as I've been trying to get them for years now! They're part of the Nike SB range and are mainly for Men as far as I'm aware so it's a bit difficult to find Men shoes in a size 3! Luckily one of my friends is obsessed with Nike shoes and while she came to stay with me for a while we obviously went shopping in Oxford St. and went to the Nike store. As girls if you are up to a size 5/6 you can get your trainers from the Kids section and it will be less expensive for you, and that's where we were, for what felt like forever. After about 7 pairs of shoes that my friend had tried on and loads of "Are you sure they look good on me?" she spotted my shoes, still can't believe she spotted them before me! You can guess what happened after that! Hahaa I'm now a proud owner of them.

Anyways enough of me talking, hope you guys liked this outfit!

Got that 40s curl

outfit: Jumper - Zara / Trousers - Forever 21 / Loafers - H&M

Hello everyone,

Back today with another outfit, I hope you all enjoyed my last post, which was my 'get to know me' tag!

Anyways back to the outfit, I kept it very minimal and easy. This is my go to outfit when I'm in a hurry and I still want to look put together. The Jumper I honestly wear to death, it's just one of those pieces that will always look effortlessly nice. And the trousers I wear to work a lot as well as they can be dressed up or down.

Also you might have noticed from the pictures that I've finally had a haircut and I have gone slightly lighter in colour, the colour has a slight grey tint. I really wanted to go that gunmetal grey, but after discussing it with my hairdresser I realised my hair was too dark to get there right away.. Hahaa Either way I really really like the outcome. I must say I did go through a slight phase of not liking it right after I got it done, but I blame it on the difference that it made. If you were interested on where I got it done and with who don't hestitate to ask I'm happy to let you guys know as he is amazing!

What do you guys think of the hair, let me know,

Shay

Knitted cover

outfit: Knit - Zara / Jeans - Topshop (Joni) / Bag - Zara / Ankle boots - ASOS

Hello everyone,

fianlly got a new outfit for you guys! I had this one waiting to be edited for so long now and I finally got around to it. It's been a mad couple of weeks, but everything seems to fall into place again, which is good!

Enough of the small talk, let's talk outfit! Now here's the deal when it comes to cold weather it's a bit more tricky to look put together as you can't just wear a cute little crop top and a pair of jeans and go. I mean don't get me wrong some people can take the cold very well and if you're one of them then lucky you! For most of us however that is not the case. That does not mean that you can't bring out that fashionista in you with a couple more layers on..here's a few tips I make sure I do to still look nice:

1. One thing I always have to take care of with sweaters, knits and tops in general is making sure that they don't basically eat me and that they're not ridiculously long as I'm quite short. Oversized is always a good idea, but you don't want to overdo it!

2. I also like to pair my oversized huge knits with something more flattering around the bottom like I have done in this outfit! That just allows the pieces to compliment each other and your outfit will probably make more sense.

3. When you wear a huge jumper it's the perfect chance for you to layer underneath as it won't really show through. I sometimes wear 4 layers depending on how thin my knit is, I know that sounds insane, but a girl has got to pull emergency strings sometimes! Your layers underneath don't have to be crazy, crop tops are very practical in these situations as they're not baggy or anything. Now if you cannot take the cold at all uniqlo sells some heat tech bodies, which are amazing and you can layer on top of those as well!

4. Finally just remember that winter knits can be just as flattering as your summer outfits as long as your work with what you've got!

Btw this is probably one of my most loved jumpers ever. It's so so warm, but really chic at the same time. It's also just very easy to wear as you don't have to wear anything else with it in terms of jewellery and stuff it just speaks for itself.

How do you guys keep warm? Let me know,

Shay
